Sakura's Love Song

ARTWORK BY R. MEDHANSH RAM
ARTWORK BY R. MEDHANSH RAM

Above, on the shore, the world sees only our distance—

Two sakura trees we are; we may be blooming apart,

Yet our love hums amidst the waterfall’s song, a silver veil in between,

Cool mist swirling freely, softening both our hearts.

Deep beneath the surface, our roots entwine—strong, unseen—

A secret embrace, where longing turns to persistence.

Though we stand on opposite banks,

Bathed always in blissful, falling liquid light,

We speak in the language of water and cherry blossom bright,

Sharing strength through the earth and every pale stream that flows.

Our Petals rustle and flow as the cool mist drifts across,

Our branches reach through the bright shimmers, dissolving all sense of loss.

Deep within the quiet and peaceful heart of the waterfalls,

We forever dance to its song—the place where love forever calls. WRITTEN BY, R MAHIMA RAM
