The day of Mothers….

The year 1908, the 12th of May was the day,

Anna Jarvis wished to commemorate,

As a day meant for mothers,

Who protect us like panthers,

Against the world.

She always made sure we had food to eat,

Even if she had not had some food,

She gives her body to us,

For 9 whole months.

When the world said “control yourself”

She listened, sacrificing her comfort,

For the sake of her family.

She loves them with her entire soul.

If her child falls ill,

Even in the dead of night,

She wakes up,

Sacrifices her sleep.

Let’s make this day worthwhile,

For all those living legends out there,

And the ones who inspire us to be the best in our lives.
